You Are Beautiful!

I hope you're having a beautiful day! I love that the weather is finally getting warmer, the sun is shining and I'm starting to hear birds in the morning again. I try to walk my dog, Miss Moriko, every day and while we're out and about I'm looking around and noticing all the subtle changes of the season. When the weather is fine you'll find me out in the garden pulling or planting, or just enjoying a tall glass of iced tea. When it's cold or rainy I'm indoors playing in my craft studio - my sweet escape to stamped gardens of florals and far away places. I can make it any season I like! LOL!
Today I'm playing with the Hero Arts Color Layering "Let Love Grow" stamp set. This set includes lots of floral images that you can stamp individually, or layered to create more complex and dimensional flowers.
Whenever I am arranging floral stamps I find it best to stamp the images on scrap paper first. I don't want to stamp them on my expensive craft paper until I'm sure what will go where, and which colors work best together. I roughly trim the images - no fussy cutting- just close enough to be able to arrange them where I like.
If you look close you will see that I arrange them on a piece of plastic that's trimmed to the size of a card base (A2 4.25 x 5.5"). This allows me to pick up the entire arrangement and place it on different colored backgrounds or pattern paper - maybe a die cut frame.. LOL! You get the idea! It keeps all the images together!
When I was happy wiith the arrangement I got inky! I used lots of different colors of Hero Arts inks (see the long list below!) and had fun stamping!
I used a circle of dots stamp image that are meant to be a flower center to create a pattern in the background in Soft Pool ink.
Did I mention that the Color Layering Stamps are my favorites? What are your favorite Hero Arts products? Stamps, stencils, die cuts? It's time to get them out and join us at A Blog Named Hero's monthly challenge! The theme this time is to "Use Your Favorite Hero Arts Product" so no excuses! I can't wait to see what you make!
