SSCB#56 Background Stamping - Dandelion Wishes

What an amazing week!  It seems like Summer is here!  I love the sunshine and warmer weather, but I have to say it's darn HOT here!   We spent the weekend getting the garden planted.  DH did the tilling.. then we went to the green house - what a treat - and then time for all the hard work.. putting the garden in!   Maybe you're seeing some dandelions about too?  Seems like it's a constant battle keeping them under control some years.  Funny how we go from seeing them as magical wish makers in childhood to pesky weeds in adulthood.   I still see them as magical - it's amazing how a pretty yellow flower can turn into a fuzzball - and pfffff.. make a wish.. see the seeds fly through the air.

A new challenge begins today at Serendipity Stamps Challenge Blog!   This time we're looking for stamped backgrounds.  You can use a large background stamp or do some repeat stamping with a smaller stamp like I did here.  I used my Misti to perfectly allign the "Make A Wish" sentiment. Just make sure you use at least ONE Serendipity Stamps image (stamp OR die).
Did you know Serendipity Stamps stocks Pretty Pink Posh dies?  You can find them here in the store.  I used the Window Frames die to make a shaker background for the dandelion.  The Pretty Pink Posh sequins and micro beads make this even more magical!
I stamped the dandelion with Memento Tuxedo Black, and then colored it with Copic markers.  I added some glossy accents to the flower that went to seed and sprinkled on fine iridescent glitter.
Want to go shopping?  The 50% off stamp of the month for June is Love is Patient.  It's perfect for June weddings!
I sure hope you'll join us at the challenge!  You get a whole month to play along!  Need a little more inspiration?  Check out projects from the design team!  Just click on their name to jump to their blogs!

Have a great day!
